1. Overview

BlinkRead stores all user data locally on your device. We do not transmit or store any user data on our servers. All reading content, bookmarks, preferences, statistics, achievements, challenge progress, and scanned documents are stored exclusively in your device's local database and preferences.

3. Data Collected by Third-Party Services

BlinkRead uses the following Google services which may collect data on their servers:

Important: Data collected by Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics is stored on Google's servers and is NOT deleted when you uninstall BlinkRead. You must request deletion directly from Google using the steps below.

4. How to Delete Your Data

Method 1: Clear App Data (Preserves App)

Deletes all local data but keeps the app installed:

  1. Open Android Settings
  2. Go to AppsBlinkRead
  3. Tap Storage (or Storage & cache)
  4. Tap Clear Data (or Clear storage)
  5. Confirm the action

This removes all reading progress, bookmarks, preferences, statistics, achievements, challenge progress, clipboard saves, scanned documents, and session history. The app remains installed with default settings.

Method 2: Uninstall the App

Permanently removes all local data:

  1. Open Android Settings
  2. Go to AppsBlinkRead
  3. Tap Uninstall
  4. Confirm the action

This removes all local data permanently, including any screen recordings saved to app storage.

Method 3: Delete AdMob / Firebase Data from Google

Data collected by Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics is stored on Google's servers. To delete this data:

  1. Visit Google Account Data & Privacy
  2. Sign in with the Google account used on your device
  3. Under Data from apps and services you use, find and manage data associated with BlinkRead
  4. Go to Ad settings → toggle off Ad Personalization
  5. Go to Activity controlsWeb & App ActivityDelete activity by → select the relevant time range
  6. For Firebase data: visit Google Firebase support for data deletion instructions
Note: AdMob and Firebase data is managed entirely by Google. BlinkRead does not have access to or control over this data. You must contact Google directly to delete it. Alternatively, email us and we will forward your request to Google on your behalf.

Method 4: Email Deletion Request

For a formal data deletion request, or if you need assistance:

  1. Send an email to Resauce.ml@gmail.com
  2. Use the subject line: "BlinkRead Data Deletion Request"
  3. Include your device ID or Google account email (optional, helps us verify your request)
  4. We will respond within 7 business days

Since all app data is stored locally on your device, we will guide you through Methods 1-3. For AdMob/Firebase data, we will forward your request to Google.

Method 5: Delete Collaborate & Rankings Data

Data stored in Firebase Firestore (Collaborate suggestions, Rankings) is linked to your device's ANDROID_ID. To delete this data:

  1. Email us at Resauce.ml@gmail.com with subject "BlinkRead Data Deletion Request"
  2. Include your ANDROID_ID (found in Settings → About Phone → IMEI, or Settings → Developer Options → Stay awake)
  3. We will delete your Collaborate submissions and Rankings entries from Firestore within 7 business days
Note: Your ANDROID_ID is also used by Google AdMob and Firebase. If you want to completely reset your identity across all Google services, you may need to perform a factory reset after requesting data deletion.

5. Data Retention Periods

6. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your local data (Methods 1 or 2):

Third-party data (AdMob, Firebase) requires separate deletion through Google (Method 3).

7. GDPR & EEA/UK Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to request deletion of your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since all BlinkRead data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise this right at any time using the methods above. For data processed by Google's services, you may also exercise your rights directly with Google.
